We have prayer at our church every Saturday evening and it’s always a great time with the Lord. This week, as I was walking and praying, the Lord spoke this phrase to me; “Attitude of Action”. I immediately knew what He was saying, that He wanted His people to be active with His Word and not passive. James 1:22 suddenly jumped into my mind, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
God wants us to know what the Word says and do it! Not just to sit in the pews and say, “Amen” but get out in the world and be doers. As I continued walking and praying, my mind was flooded with examples from scripture of what this means: Go ye into all the world…Stretch forth your hand…Get up, take up your bed…Go and do likewise…Go, wash in the pool…Come boldly…Submit yourselves therefore…Lay down your burdens…Come unto me…Give and it shall be given…Seek…Knock…Speak unto that mountain…Arise, go over this Jordan…Cast your cares…Lift up holy hands…Cast out demons…Praise…Pray…Sing…Rejoice! All action words!
Doesn’t it encourage you just to say those words? Attitude of action, attitude of action. Keep it in your mind and develop it. God wants His people to be active, to be doers.
