Given February 28, 2009I’ve got all these “things” I’m working on right now: project at work, writing, blogging, technology, garden, decisions, possibilities, etc. I’d like for all these things to just, “fall into place” or line up and be in order. They aren’t.
While praying about this on this lovely morning, I saw myself walking on the highway to Heaven and all these “things” were all around bugging me and pestering me. They were driving me crazy! Up ahead, I see God and soon I catch up with Him and begin walking alongside. As I do, He motions to the pestering things and they all move behind us and line up! They fall into place according to God’s direction. And some of them, God directs right OFF the highway.
1 Corinthians 14:40 says, “Let all things be done decently and in order.” This is in reference to the church but it shows that God is a God of order and not confusion. And, Jesus wants us to be at peace, not stressed out by the things surrounding us as we travel the highway to Heaven. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27

I haven’t had time to e-mail you lately as I’ve also been trying to get all the things in natural to line up. So I really appreciate your revelation this morning and can now see myself stepping out onto the highway where God meets us at our place of need and commands all things to fall in line. I was listening to a sermon by Bill Houghton the other day in which he pointed out that the pressure is mounting on everyone acroos th globe. The enemy wants us to fold under the proessure but Bill Houghton gave theillustration of a surfer who is knocked off his/her surf board and thinks he/she will be crushed by the force of the wave that pushes on under. A good surfer will not panic, knowing that as soon as the wave crashes, he/ she will rise to the surface again and get abck on the board. As Christians we need to just surf the tidal wave of fear the enemy has unleased on the world and be the ones to show people that the pressure won’t crush us. Although I received the message, I didn’t practicaly see how to live by it until I read your post. Thank you and God bless the work of your hands.
