Part of my morning devotional time is praying for the needs of others in the areas of salvation, healing, and general needs. This morning I was asking God to meet all the needs on my list based on His word, “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19. After I mentioned, “according to His riches” I prayed, “according to your will and purpose for our lives”, and “according to your plan. Then I heard God say in my spirit, “Don’t leave out, ‘according to your faith’ “.
Our faith has a lot to do with it. Of the 19 people who were healed by Jesus that were specifically mentioned in the Bible, Jesus said to 10 of them it was because of their faith. James says it another way; “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James 1:6-8. If you have a need, ask God, believe His Word is true, do not doubt, and receive your needs met. Then thank Him while your answer is on the way and begin acting like you’ve already received it.
