Think about it…Jesus is teaching a crowd of people. They had heard of His miracles and had brought their sick to the meeting. As they stood in the healing line, they witnessed those in front of them being healed. “At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them.” (Luke 4:40). Do you think it was hard for them to believe?
What about us? We may or may not have seen a miracle. We have heard of God’s promises from His Word. Why is it so hard for us to believe? Do we have to see before we believe? “Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29). If Jesus was right here today, would we believe? Well, He is here! If He said He would do it, would we believe it? Well, He did say He would do many things. (We have to know our Bible.) Do we think WE can handle it better? Oh no!
Today, believe God for your need, turn it over to Him, trust Him, and then thank Him for the outcome and fear not. We are like the father in Mark 9:24, “Immediately the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe; help my unbelief!” Seeing is not always believing, we must believe first then we will see.
