Who were you created to be? What were you created to do? How does God see you? You may see yourself one way and others might have a view of you based on your actions and words. But how does God see you?
Picture this: God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are standing there in the hallway of the maternity ward of the hospital as the nurse brings you out and places you in the crib in front of the window for viewing. God says, “Yep, I see great things for this child.” Jesus and the Holy Spirit nod their head in agreement saying, “That’s right, we’ve been aware of this one for awhile now.” “Such potential.” “Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.” (Ephesians 1:4, NLT) You were that baby.
God created you for a purpose and put within you the talents, skills and desires to fulfill that purpose. Are you aware of your purpose? “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10) Each person has a job to do within the Body of Christ. “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” (Romans 12:4-5) Are you doing your part in the Body? Do you know what your part is? You probably have an idea of what you are good at and what you like to do which is based on your giftings.
Here are two websites that offer an assessment you can take to determine you Spiritual gifts: https://mintools.com/spiritual-gifts-test.htm , https://gifts.churchgrowth.org. God sees you as the person He created so, be true to the view He has of you.
