One of my devotional readings this morning mentioned that there are billions of stars in our galaxy and, according to the Hubble Telescope, possibly billions of other galaxies with stars and planets which are millions of light years away. And all this came to be when the God of the universe said, “Let there be…”. Wow, that is amazing! As happens many times, this brought up an image in my mind: I saw God and Jesus standing on the edge of Heaven looking out at all that creation including our earth. And Jesus said, “Wow Father, that is awesome!”, to which the Father replies, “Yes but I’m not finished yet, the best is yet to come.” “And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1: 26-27).
Think about that…of everything that God created, He made us, He loves us, He wants to be friends with us, He wants to spend time with us, we are special to Him. We look like Him! Wow! Now, when you get down on yourself or when others hurt you, remember that your friend God is right there with you, holding His arms out for you to come to Him. RUN TO HIM! #picturethis #thinkaboutit
