Many of the visions and revelations I get from God are associated with The Path of Life. I envision many things happening on The Path. I wanted to share some as we have embarked on The Path of 2024.
There are two paths: “For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14). I got a vision recently of those walking on the narrow path and looking over to their left and seeing a wide four-lane highway with many on it traveling at high speed. “Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.” (Deuteronomy 5:33) Stay on the narrow path.
“And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness;
it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it. No lion will be there, nor any ravenous beast;
they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there, and those the Lord has rescued will return”. (Isaiah 35:8-10). It’s safe on The Path.
However, our enemy will be trying to get us off The Path, tempting us to take an exit to something desirable. He may put up a billboard displaying something our flesh would like. However, “And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” (Isaiah 30:21). Listen to The Voice.
Remember that each of these paths are in this world. But Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33). Jesus is with us on The Path; in front, behind, beside and in us. If we stay close to Him and not stray, we’ll arrive at our planned destination. “He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” (Psalm 23:3). So…let’s stay on The Path, close to Jesus and focus on the prize ahead. (Philippians 3:14).

I enjoyed this. We are always getting tempted to get off the path the Lord has laid out for us.
