The Word of God contains promises, encouragement, wisdom, direction and power for those who read and follow it. I have also found that God’s Word provides us with weapons we can use to do battle with the enemy who is always prowling around seeking who he may devour, (1 Peter 5:8). I began putting some of these scriptures together to use when I feel the enemy’s temptation coming on. It began a few years ago when I started praying some verses as I got out of bed in the morning to let the devil know to look out, that I was awake and active. I pray that this “Battle Prayer” will be useful to you as you declare it over your life and use it as a weapon against the enemy. You may have some favorite verses of your own that you have memorized and can use as your Battle Prayer.

“Greater is He that is in me than you who is in the world. (1) I have submitted to God and I resist you in the name of Jesus and you have to flee from me! (2) I have put on the full armor of God and have the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God (3) and I’m not afraid to use it. No weapon formed against me will prosper. (4) I’ve been given authority to trample on you and all your power and nothing, by any means, is going to harm me. (5) You come at me “like” a roaring lion (6) but I have the Spirit of God in me and He is the Lion of Judah! (7) So, I’m not afraid of you because you can’t touch me (8) and I’m not listening to your lies either. (9) So, get out of here and stay away from my family too. I thank you God for it all (10) and In Jesus’ name I declare it, AMEN and AMEN!”
