Think about this – The God who said, “Let there be light.” (Genesis 1:3), created Adam and Eve (Genesis 1:27), parted the Red Sea, (Exodus 14:21), help up the sun for 24 hours (Joshua 10:13), raised the dead (John 11:44), and turned water into wine (John 2:9) obviously does things on a grand scale. We can think of many other super things that God did in the Bible so it’s clear to me that He doesn’t settle for mediocrity. Would you agree?
Now, if you’re saved, God is working on you! Do you think He’ll relax His standards just because it’s you? I don’t think so. He said, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,” Jeremiah 1:5. “and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” Ephesians 2:6 , and, “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2. God wants to do grand, wonderful, unbelievable things with His creation – us. And the only limitation in what God is wanting to do in you and me is you and me. We are the holdup.
Today, ask Him to keep working and let Him have His way in you.
