“This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)
We will…I will. King David was proclaiming the goodness of God and encouraging others to be glad and rejoice. That’s easy to do on the good days but what about on those days that aren’t so good? “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4). We should remember that, if we have declared it, God is in control and we should thank Him even on the bad days. I will!
So, what are some other things we should say “I will” to?
I will submit to God and resist the devil. (James 4:7).
I will declare the works of the Lord. (Psalm 118:17).
I will think on good things. (Philippians 4:8).
I will shine. (Matthew 5:16).
I will ask, seek and knock. (Matthew 7:7).
I will seek God first. (Matthew 6:33).
I will praise God always. (Psalm 71:8).
I will thank God. (Psalm 106:1).
I will walk in the Way of the Lord. (Isaiah 30:21).
I will humble myself, pray, seek God’s face, turn from my wicked ways. (2 Chronicles 7:14).
I sure you can think of some other things to say, “I will.” to and I encourage you to do that. Maybe write them down as declarations. God is saying to us, “Will you?” Can we say like Isaiah did, ”Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8). I will.
