This morning as I was praying I asked God, as I usually do, to fill me fresh with His Spirit and cover me with the annointing for service that day. As I sat there on my couch, I thought, “If I was actually annointed in this position, the oil would not reach my feet since I was sitting.” I remembered the scripture about Aaron’s annointing, “It is like the precious oil upon the head, Coming down upon the beard, Even Aaron’s beard, Coming down upon the edge of his robes.” (Psalm 133:2). For some reason today I wanted to be fully annointed so I stood up with my arms at my side. I began praising God and strongly felt His sweet presence. He had me to raise my hands, and I did, looking up to Heaven and continuing to pray and praise in my prayer language. Then I suddenly remembered that when you pray, you usually bow your head so I did. It then dawned on me, I was now in the same position Jesus was in as He hung on the cross! Upright, arms out, head bowed.
The inner Spirit then spoke to me that He wants me to be submitted and die to this world and He would then fill me and annoint me for service. I had to be in the right position to receive. I had to get off the couch and be obedient to Him so He could show me this revelation. You’ve heard of being “in the right place at the right time”? God will show us where to go and what to do to have us in the right place at the right time to receive somethng from Him. And I can tell you this, it’s probably not going to be sitting on the couch!
Where is God telling you to go? What has He told you before that you haven’t acted upon yet? Your blessing is waiting. God told Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.” (Genesis 12:1). Abram didn’t know where he was being sent but he went in obediance to God. He wants the same from us. Has this helped you today?
