Above All

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,” (Ephesians 3:20)

“Above all powers, above all kings. Above all nature and all created things.
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man, You were here before the world began.”

As I drove home from the grocery store, I saw this majestic view. I looked up from the road to see what God had created many years ago in the mountains; all the trees, the leaves, the plants, the stones, the soil and all the living things up there. And I saw what He created today, the beautiful clouds. Oh wow! It reminded me of just how powerful, glorious, and majestic He is. He is so, “above all” that He created, or had a part in creating, all of what we see.  And, it’s hard to imagine, in the backdrop of this view, that He even created us! He created the earth and everything in it but the people didn’t cooperate so He sent His son, Jesus, to make things right. And, here we are!

And, one day, If we have asked Jesus into our hearts, we are going to be “above all” with Him in Heaven. We can see His creation here but, like another Christian song says, “I Can Only Imagine“what it will be like in Heaven. “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,” (Ephesians 2:6). If you haven’t made that decision, do it today. It will be “above all” the decisions you will ever make.
