“For we walk by faith and not by sight.” (Corinthians 5:7,)
Sometimes, or many times, when we’re walking the Path of Life, we can’t see far enough ahead to see where we’re going. It may be scary not knowing what’s up ahead. But, if we remember that God is with us, we can move on according to His plans without fear.
Think about these “walks” God sent His people on. In Genesis 22:2 God told Abraham, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go, (walk), to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”. Three days walking!
In Exodus 14:22, God opened the Red Sea, “So the children of Israel went, (walked), into the midst of the sea on the dry ground,” They made it safely to the other side.
In Joshua 6:3-4, God told His people, “March, (walk), around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. On the seventh day, march, (walk), around the city seven times,” They obeyed even though it seemed crazy, and the walls of Jericho fell down!
In Psalm 23:4 we read, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;” Keep walking by faith and God will lead us through.
Who was with all these people? How did they make it through? Who is with you on the Path of Life? We can’t always “see” what’s up ahead when walking with God but we must, “walk by faith and not by sight” If God’s walking forward, we should not be going backwards or sideways. Stay with Him, hold onto His hand. And remember, Jesus “walked” to Golgotha to die on a cross for all of us. So, no matter how it may look, walk with Jesus and you’ll make it through. If you don’t have Jesus as your walking partner, give your heart to Him today and begin the “Walk”.
